Held Saturday, December 6, Lincoln Middle School
Making delicious pancakes.
Serving pancakes, ham and eggs, more.
The 49th Annual Pullman Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast held all morning on Saturday, December 1, proved to be a popular way to start the holiday season in Pullman, Washington.More than 1,000 people came to Lincoln Middle School for the delicious breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, fruit, coffee, milk, fruit juice and coffee.
Entertainers throughout the breakfast -- often performing music in the holiday spirit -- included many local musicians with performing groups of children from Pullman schools a special attraction.
Some 100 silent auction items -- donated by Pullman businesses, organizations and Kiwanians -- attracted lively bidding.
This fundraiser -- ticket sales and silent auction combined -- benefits the club's many activities and projects serving children and the community that the Kiwanis Club of Pullman supports. The first donation from the breakfast proceeds to benefit Pullman children during the 2008 holiday season was reported in the club's January 2009 Bulletin.
The club thanks everyone who came to the breakfast and donated and/or bid on silent auction items! Thanks also to the members of the Circle K club and Pi Kappa Phi fraternity at WSU and the Key Club at Pullman High School for helping with the breakfast. Together we're making Pullman a better place to live.
The popular Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast -- always held the first Saturday in December -- is a great start to the holiday season. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
